This is the comprehensive website for all the main news about Bodh Gaya, plus a variety of articles and extensive information about the village.

Founder of the site is Peter Friedlander, a long standing Dharma friend and supporter of the Bodh Gaya retreats. Peter translates texts and ancient Indian poetry from Hindi to English. Site started in March 2002. Peter lives near Melbourne, Australia with his wife, Christine Thompson.

See home page for PDF file. Peter has put together a piece on basic Hindi which might be of interest to people who like visiting Indian restaurants. All you need to know. Eg. Samosa Triangular pastry parcels with a peas and potato filling (or mince meat in the West). Samosa means ‘triangle’ in Persian and this dish was brought by the Moghuls to India.
